How results are ordered: alphabetically by institution, or by most recently checked when you choose that sort. There is no price ranking, because tuition in different currencies, fee categories and bases (per year, per credit, whole program) is not comparable. A program appears under a subject only through a verified link (dedicated degree, major, concentration or documented pathway). A value we could not verify is shown as “not published”, never as “no”. Items marked Sponsored are paid placements; they never change verification or order. Online programs are not counted as physically located in a state or city, and an institution’s location does not tell you whether it enrols students from your country.
Copied from each program’s own admissions page. Requirements are specific to the program and intake: follow the link and check the current year.
The euphonium is a conical-bore brass instrument pitched in the tenor-baritone range, and it is closely related to the baritone horn. Its wide bore gives a warm, rounded sound, and degree-level players concentrate on breath support, legato phrasing, flexibility and control across a range of about three and a half octaves. Many euphoniums have a compensating valve system to improve intonation in the lower register, which students learn to use effectively.
Unlike most orchestral brass, the euphonium has its principal home in concert bands, wind ensembles, brass bands and military bands, where it takes solo and tenor lines and often doubles trombone or tuba parts. Solo repertoire has grown rapidly, including works written for the instrument and transcriptions of vocal and cello pieces. Programs often include tuba or euphonium ensembles, quartets and brass band playing.
Typical degree contexts include the Bachelor of Music in euphonium performance, the Master of Music and practice doctorates such as the Doctor of Musical Arts, though euphonium is offered as a specialization at fewer schools than trumpet or trombone. It is often paired with tuba in teaching and may appear as 'low brass' study. Applicants should check whether a school treats euphonium as a distinct principal instrument.
Award titles. Euphonium study can be recognised through a Bachelor of Music or BMus and a Master of Music or MMus. Some institutions offer a graduate or postgraduate diploma or an Artist Diploma, which are diploma-level awards and not master's degrees. The Doctor of Musical Arts is a practice doctorate. Names differ by country, and this directory makes no equivalence claims.
A program is listed under euphonium in this directory only when its official page names the instrument in the title, as a major, or as a formal principal-study option. A private teacher or a faculty euphonium player does not count. Many schools do not offer euphonium separately and place it under tuba or low brass, or do not offer it.
General orientation only. Each program publishes its own repertoire, format and deadlines; this directory cannot guarantee acceptance.
Euphonium auditions are generally live, though some programs take a recording first. Applicants usually perform contrasting works that show lyrical playing and technical control, together with scales and an etude. Panels listen for tone, intonation and the ability to phrase naturally.
An accompanist is typically expected, with provision varying by school. Sight-reading, theory and aural tests are common. Applicants who also play tuba or trombone may be asked about those instruments, depending on the program.
Each program publishes its own repertoire categories and format, and these change by year. Read the current-year audition requirements for every school. Nothing here guarantees admission.

Euphonium players are needed in wind ensembles and brass bands, and some programs offer scholarships connected to those groups. Graduate students might be considered for assistantships such as leading sectionals or teaching low-brass lessons.
Funding varies by school, country and year, and many students receive partial support or none. Ask each department directly.
Costs beyond tuition. Euphonium students may pay for instrument purchase or rental, mouthpieces, mutes, valve oil and servicing, plus a case, which is large. Some programs lend school instruments. Accompanist fees, audition travel and recordings are other possibilities.
