How results are ordered: alphabetically by institution, or by most recently checked when you choose that sort. There is no price ranking, because tuition in different currencies, fee categories and bases (per year, per credit, whole program) is not comparable. A program appears under a subject only through a verified link (dedicated degree, major, concentration or documented pathway). A value we could not verify is shown as “not published”, never as “no”. Items marked Sponsored are paid placements; they never change verification or order. Online programs are not counted as physically located in a state or city, and an institution’s location does not tell you whether it enrols students from your country.

About music education in Russia

How music education is organised

Professional music training in Russia is delivered mainly by state conservatories and academies (for example in Moscow, Saint Petersburg, Yekaterinburg, Novosibirsk, Saratov, Nizhny Novgorod, Rostov-on-Don and Petrozavodsk) that publish their programmes by code in the mandatory 'Sveden' section of their websites. The published programme lists show bakalavriat (bachelor's), spetsialitet (specialist, five years in the examples checked), magistratura (master's), assistentura-stazhirovka (assistantship-internship, two years in the examples checked) and aspirantura (postgraduate research training, three years in the examples checked). Programme levels are named by Russian codes and titles and are not mapped one-to-one to qualifications of other countries.

Bodies that matter, and what each one does

Accreditation, validation, education authority and qualification registers are different roles. Do not read a listing by one body as evidence from another.

Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation
Founder (uchreditel) of the state conservatories listed as 'Ministerstvo kultury Rossiyskoy Federatsii' in their Sveden sections

Credits and qualification framework

Programmes are identified by national codes and titles; this directory records the official Russian titles with an English rendering and does not claim equivalence with degrees of other countries.

No degree on this site guarantees admission, funding, employment, a visa or teacher registration, and nothing here is visa or credit-transfer advice.

Languages and admissions

Admissions and auditions. Conservatories run their own entrance examinations (for example a creative test, a professional test, an interview, and Russian language and literature at Moscow Conservatory); foreign citizens have separate admissions contacts and document-recognition steps. Details are set per programme and per year by each conservatory. Source
